I began Slugging at old age, even for my kind as my big nose might give away, I found the atmosphere of the undercity relaxing, the gunk and muck reminded me of my past, At first the Granite Slugs grossed me out but soon I began to see their beauty and how their very complex posture lit up their otherwise gloomy place of habitat. I spent months on end between the granite slug and learned a few very important things regarding their behavior.

These granite slugs like to herd, but they stop reproducing if the herd reaches it's peak, at which point the slugs will no longer have need to show off their pretty colors, obviously this display is for mating purposes only as it gives little to no camouflage. Regardless, these slugs then lose their attraction to the opposite sex and fail to ever mate again.

That is when I got the idea of herd thinning to keep the populations healthy, by decreasing the amount of slugs on a planet we manage to keep these vividly colored beings ready to mate and therefore avoid their extinction from planets across the galaxy. As for my experience with other slugs, I have been training myself to ride a duracrete slug, his name is Silver, I am also training Vigo the Slug, a gift from Vigo Jad Hep Virideux, my former coleague and close friend. it seems most of these beings rather starve than serve as human companions, though tales of old do speak of nations riding these beasts into battle... I can only imagine the lengthiness of those wars.

As for space slugs , I would very much like to meet one of them as some point, I will definitely have to check out Asteroid Field 8321 some day.

Until that day I will help motivate the people of the galaxy to aid the Granite Slug Preservation program of the Galactic Slugging Association.
